This collage features Citra Solv papers, wallpaper scraps, and an image transfer as media for this composition. The torn edges of the papers in the top left and bottom right corners were incorporated into the grid divisions of the piece.
MaryJo Clark is a former art teacher and Saint Louis artist. She is primarily a mixed-media collage artist, creating paper "painting" by arranging papers of various shapes, colors and textures as elements for creating unique compositions. The non-objective or abstract subject matter of MaryJo's mixed-media collages are designed to evoke unique responses from each viewer. MaryJo also creates pastel paintings.
