A variety of shapes representing structures are arranged horizontally across the background. Additional paper, beads and tiles add decoration and ornamentation to the buildings in this stylized cityscape. This was one of my early collage pieces and it has always been a personal favorite.
About MaryJo Clark
MaryJo Clark is a former art teacher and Saint Louis artist. She is primarily a mixed-media collage artist, creating paper "painting" by arranging papers of various shapes, colors and textures as elements for creating unique compositions. The non-objective or abstract subject matter of MaryJo's mixed-media collages are designed to evoke unique responses from each viewer. MaryJo also creates pastel paintings.
