This piece combines pen and ink gesture drawings with various decorative papers. The poses of the figures are reminiscent of yoga postures, which lead to the title, "Sun Salutation".
About MaryJo Clark
MaryJo Clark is a former art teacher and Saint Louis artist. She is primarily a mixed-media collage artist, creating paper "painting" by arranging papers of various shapes, colors and textures as elements for creating unique compositions. The non-objective or abstract subject matter of MaryJo's mixed-media collages are designed to evoke unique responses from each viewer. MaryJo also creates pastel paintings. The subject matter of these pieces are usually more representational.
